Requesting a Payout

Request flowRequest a payout from Revenue > Payments once KYC, bank details, and available balance are ready.

Only one payout request can be pending for a community at a time. Track the request from View Payouts.

Request a payout once your earnings have cleared the standard hold period.

Before You Start

  • KYC must be approved. See Completing KYC Verification.
  • Your South African bank account must be saved under Resources > My Profile > Payments, with the account holder name matching the verified entity.
  • You need a positive available balance in Revenue > Payments.
  • You can only have one pending payout per community at a time.

Request the Payout

  1. Open My Activity > My Communities.
  2. Select Manage on the community.
  3. Go to Revenue > Payments.
  4. Select View Payouts.
  5. Select Request Payout.
  6. Review the requested amount, the destination bank account, and any fees shown.
  7. Confirm the request.

If KYC is still pending, the page links you to the KYC area — finish verification there first, then come back.

Track the Payout

Your payout moves through these statuses:

StatusWhat it means
PendingThe request has been received and is waiting for review.
SubmittedReviewed and sent to Paystack for processing.
SuccessThe funds have settled in your bank account.
FailedThe transfer didn't complete — see "If a Payout Fails" below.
CanceledThe request was stopped before processing (for example, you cancelled it, or PayBru paused it for a review).

Status changes show up in-app, and you can also have them sent through your usual notification channels (email and, if connected, Discord).

If a Payout Fails

The most common reasons:

  • Bank details don't match the verified KYC entity.
  • Account number, branch code, or bank name has a typo.
  • The account is closed or frozen at the bank.
  • Unusual activity flagged for review.

To recover:

  1. Open Resources > My Profile > Payments and correct the bank details.
  2. Make sure the account holder name matches the verified KYC entity.
  3. Contact PayBru support with the payout reference and ask them to re-attempt the transfer.

PayBru won't resend a failed payout silently — you need to fix the underlying issue and submit a new request (or ask support to retry).

Cancelling a Pending Request

If you submitted a payout in error, open the payout in View Payouts and use Cancel Request while it's still Pending. Once it's Submitted, it's already with Paystack and can no longer be cancelled from PayBru.
