Invoice Overview
Receipts are customer-friendly proof of payment. Monthly statements help members and creators review activity over time.
Every successful payment on PayBru generates a receipt you can view in-app and download as a PDF.
What a PayBru Receipt Is
A PayBru receipt is proof that a payment went through. It records who paid, what for, how much, and how the amount was split between the creator, PayBru, and Paystack.
It's designed as a clear, customer-friendly payment record — not as a SARS-compliant tax invoice for the creator's supply. See Understanding Charges for the VAT detail.
When Receipts Are Generated
Receipts are created automatically for:
- Your first subscription payment when you join a creator's tier.
- Each recurring payment on a monthly, 3-monthly, 6-monthly, or 12-monthly billing date.
- Tips sent through Pay-a-Bru.
- Store purchases, both digital and physical.
- Gift membership purchases (the receipt is issued to whoever paid, not the recipient).
- Crowdfunding or support contributions where the creator has enabled them.
Failed payments don't generate a receipt. If a payment retry later succeeds, a new receipt is issued for the successful charge.

Where to Find Receipts
Members can download receipts from My Activity > My Payments in the Client Portal. See Downloading Billing Documents for step-by-step instructions.
For Creators
Creators can use their Revenue > Payments > Transaction History to see every successful payment that contributed to their balance, with the same gross / fee / net breakdown. Monthly statements roll these up for bookkeeping and reconciliation.
