Invoice Overview
Every successful payment on PayBru generates a transaction receipt. Receipts serve as your official record of each transaction and can be downloaded as PDF documents.
What Is a Receipt?
A receipt is a billing document that confirms a payment was made. It includes all the details you need for personal record-keeping or business expense tracking.
When Receipts Are Generated
PayBru generates a receipt automatically each time a payment is successfully processed. This includes:
- Your first subscription payment when you join a creator's tier.
- Each recurring monthly payment on your billing date.
- Tips and one-off payments made to creators.
- Payments after a tier change, such as upgrading to a higher tier.
Receipts are only generated for successful payments. If a payment fails, no receipt is created until the charge is successfully processed.
What a Receipt Contains
Each PayBru receipt includes:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| PayBru logo | Official branding for verification purposes. |
| Community name | The creator community the payment relates to. |
| Receipt number | A unique identifier for the transaction. |
| Billed-to info | Your name and account details. |
| Payment date and time | The exact date and time the payment was processed. |
| Transaction details | Description of what was paid for (tier, tip, etc.). |
| Amount breakdown | Itemised charges including fees and VAT. |
All amounts are displayed in ZAR (South African Rand), and payments are processed through Paystack.
Downloading Receipts
Individual transaction receipts are downloadable as PDF files. You can access them from your account dashboard or directly via the PayBru API.
