Receipts, Invoices, and Statements

My Activity > My PaymentsEvery charge on your account has a downloadable receipt. Every active month gets a personal statement.

Receipts are proof of payment in ZAR — not SARS-compliant tax invoices for the creator's supply. Contact the creator if you need a formal tax invoice.

PayBru keeps a full record of every payment on your account, with downloadable PDFs you can use for budgeting, expense claims, or dispute resolution.

Find Your Records

  1. Open the Client Portal.
  2. Go to My Activity > My Payments.
  3. Open the payment you want to view or download.

What You Can Download

  • Per-payment receipts — one for every successful charge (subscription, tip, store purchase, gift).
  • Monthly statements — a personal summary of your payment activity for any month with charges.

All amounts are shown in ZAR and processed through Paystack.

Receipt vs Tax Invoice

PayBru receipts and monthly statements are proof of payment, not SARS-compliant tax invoices for the creator's supply.

  • If you need a receipt for personal record-keeping, the PayBru PDF is enough.
  • If you need a formal tax invoice for the goods or services the creator provided, contact the creator directly. Whether they can issue one depends on whether they're VAT-registered with SARS.

See Understanding Charges for the VAT detail.

What Each Receipt Shows

  • Receipt number (use this when contacting support about a charge).
  • Date and time of the payment.
  • The creator community and the item paid for (tier name, tip, gift, or store item).
  • The amount charged in ZAR.
  • The platform-fee, gateway-fee, and gateway-VAT split — for transparency about how the amount was divided between the creator, PayBru, and Paystack.
  • Card last 4 digits, or the once-off payment method used.

Why It Helps

  • For refunds or support requests — quote the receipt number to speed up investigation.
  • For business expense claims — download the PDF and attach it to your expense submission.
  • For your own bookkeeping — use monthly statements to track what you spend on memberships.

Tips

  • Use the date filter on My Payments to jump straight to a specific month.
  • If your bank statement shows a charge as Paystack rather than PayBru, that's normal — Paystack processes the payment on PayBru's behalf.
  • Save copies of anything you may need long-term, particularly before closing an account.
