How do I subscribe?​

Open the creator's PayBru page, pick a tier (and a duration if the creator offers prepaid options), then complete checkout in ZAR through Paystack.

What can I do as a member?​

  • Read members-only posts and tier-locked content.
  • RSVP and attend events (virtual, in-person, or hybrid).
  • Buy store items — digital downloads and physical merch.
  • Send tips through Pay-a-Bru.
  • Gift memberships to friends.
  • Send direct messages.
  • Receive Discord roles when the community uses Discord.

What payment methods are accepted?​

Cards (Visa or Mastercard), Pay-by-Bank options like Ozow Instant EFT, and Capitec Pay where supported. Only cards can be saved for automatic renewals — once-off methods (EFT/Ozow/Capitec Pay) work for the first payment but you'll need to add a card before the next renewal.

How do I cancel?​

Go to My Activity > My Memberships, open the membership, and select Cancel. Your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Will I be charged automatically?​

Yes — once you've saved a card, memberships renew until you cancel.

Can I switch tiers?​

Yes. Upgrades apply immediately; the new price kicks in on the next billing cycle. Downgrades take effect from the next cycle.

How do tips work?​

Tips are sent as Brus. Each Bru is worth R50. You can tip any creator with a tipping-enabled community.

How do gift memberships work?​

Gift any tier for 1 to 12 months. The recipient has 30 days to accept it. Unclaimed gifts after 30 days are automatically refunded.

How do I get a receipt?​

Download per-payment receipts from My Activity > My Payments. See Receipts, Invoices, and Statements.

What if my payment fails?​

Update your payment method under Resources > My Profile > Payments, then retry from My Activity > My Memberships. You have a 6-day grace period with reminders on day 1, day 3, and day 5. See Failed Payments and Access Changes.

Can I support more than one creator?​

Yes. You can subscribe to multiple creators at once.

How do I connect Discord?​

Open Resources > My Profile > Security > Connected Accounts and connect Discord. You also need to join each creator's Discord server for their role to apply. See the Discord FAQ.
